| The Transfiguration points to the greater glory seen in the resurrection and it gave a foresight of what salvation and glory would be like. Unlike at the crucifixion where Jesus was stripped of his clothing, on the Mount his clothes became dazzling white. St Paul spoke of putting on Christ. We are called to share in his glory and when we are, all that is human about us will not be stripped away but enhanced. Salvation adds a new dimension to our humanity - we shall be bathed in Christ's glory - we shall share in the very Risen life of Christ Himself. We shall be 'Transfigured' |

If I had not suffered I would not have known the love of God.
If many people had not suffered God's love would not have passed on.
If Jesus had not suffered God's love would not have been made visible.
