The team churches joined together for a party in the Rectory Garden on a gloriously sunny day.  Seventy adults attended following the Team Pentecost service at St John's Some of the choir and others sitting chatting together, obviously considering a serious topic ...
... the children playing at one end of the garden - there are two games going on here. The families using the gazebo for shade out of the unseasonal sun while others soak up the rays.
Sitting chatting in the sun, enjoying the company ... or choosing to sit in the shade.
The adults also had a game - to identify the country where some treasure was buried Geoffrey choosing the winning ticket -  he was the nearest to Jordan. Partygoers ranged in age from very young to ... ... those reliving their youth with Wham bars (handed out to the children)

While Bryony joined the ladies who had sensibly chosen a place in the shade ...

... other guests found it all too much.

The sandpit that was moved under the gazebo after lunch proved popular with the younger guests. Eventually, even those who'd been supervising the buffet inside got a break and joined the revellers outside.
