| Standing in front
of the screen is a votive candle stand. The stand was designed by
Piers Northam and given to the church by the family of Emmeline
Doe (1905 – 2000) in her memory.
 It provides an
opportunity for people to light a candle and say a prayer. the candle
then burns on as a symbol of their prayer when they have
left.
There is also a prayer board in the Lady
Chapel and visitors may fill in a card leaving a request for
prayer. These prayers are prayed during Morning Prayer which is
said every weekday morning in Church.
