Geoffrey Connor - Team Rector
Geoffrey was ordained
in 1974 and began his ministry in a parish in Darlington. He
subsequently became chaplain to St Chad's College in the University of
Durham before taking up the post of Vice Provost at St Mary's
Cathedral, Edinburgh. Prior to coming to Epping he worked in two
rural parishes in Lancashire. He combined parish, chaplaincy and
cathedral ministry with vocations work and was Director of Ordinands in
the dioceses of Edinburgh; Argyll & the Isles and
Blackburn. He took up to post of Team Rector to the Epping
District Team Ministry in July 2000. He is also Area Dean of
Epping Forest Deanery.

Bob Taylor - Reader
Bob was admitted and licensed in 1989 and
joined the Team in 1994. He is also the Local Advisor for Readers &
Candidates in the Epping Forest Deanery as well as being the Treasurer
to the Epping Forest Deanery Mothers Union. Bob is a director and
trustee of Christians Aware, an interdenominational educational
charity that works nationally and internationally to provide
opportunities for people to become aware of the needs and gifts of
God's people everywhere. In his spare time, Bob works for Her Majesty's
Revenue & Customs..

Bob Graves -
Churchwarden
Bob was elected
churchwarden in 2006. His background is teaching, but he has for
some time also been one of the mainstays of the monthly working parties
that carries out maintenance work at St John's. He luckily has a
good head for heights...

Marian Winters - Churchwarden
Marian was elected
churchwarden in 2008. For the past 20 years she has worked either
as a carer for mature people or supporting children in schools and at
present she works at Matching Green School. She sings in the
choir at St John's and enjoys photography, travelling and 'going out
for lunch'!

Piers Northam -
Lay Evangelist
Piers was licensed as a Lay Evangelist in
2006 and is involved in a range of activities at St John's. He is
a member of the Up Front team which leads our All Age Worship once an
month and he helps Ros Scanlan to run Living Word - a study and
meditation group. During the week he teaches at an Interior
Design College and works as a freelance designer

Pam Fulton - Rector's Lay Chaplain
Pam has worshipped at St John's for many
years and served as churchwarden from 2000-2008. She has now
taken on the role of Lay Chaplain to the Rector, helping with the
development of spirituality and prayer at St John's. She is a
keen cricket spectator and flower arranger.

Simon
Winters - Musical Director
Simon joined us in
January 2005. He was educated at Bancroft's School and St Anne's
College, Oxford and is a Fellow of the Royal College of
Organists. Besides St John's, he is also musical director of the
chamber choir Felicitas and of Epping Forest Voices,
and is well known to many singers in Epping as he conducts the ECCA
Choir [Epping Church Choirs Association]. Somehow he
still finds time to teach piano, organ and recorder at Chigwell and
Brentwood Schools.

Lee Adams - Sacristan
Lee took over as Sacristan in 2005 and organises
the servers and ensures that everything is set up for services at St
John's. When not carrying a processional cross, he is to be seen
zipping round one of the local golf courses on the back of a mower.... |

Marjorie Austin - PCC Secretary
Marjorie is Secretary to the Parochial Church Council; the
body that runs the church and is responsible for the Parish's
finances. She is also involved in working
with our young people and in running study groups and organizes the Up
Front team which leads our All-Age Worship on the second Sunday in the
month.

Barry Peart - PCC Treasurer
Barry oversees the Parish's finances.
